  1. Hi I’m planning to take n5 this Dec. I don’t go to any classes. I just prepare at home as I lived in Japan for a year and returned to India. I know hiragana n katakana n studying kanji as well. I understand Japanese a bit. Can I make it through to n5?

    1. Hey, I don’t think that much is enough. I was at this level too when I took n5 in 2014. I failed that test. N5 is not that easy as it is posed to be. You can definitely clear it on your own, but you need more knowledge than you have.
Nonetheless, I can’t really tell much since you’ve lived in Japan for an year. Good luck!

  2. 頑張ってください!! I wasn’t *concretely* planning to take a language examination this year but now you’re tempting me XD July won’t probably be possible for me as by that time I should be moving to the Uk, but maybe a session in December could be doable! Which level are you enrolling on?

    1. Haha XD

Studying with WaniKani everyday, I am feeling pretty confident regarding vocabulary and Kanji. My grammar, as usual, though, is a little lacking (I seem to lose interest time and again and haven’t been able to finish even Genki 1 😦 ) But still, I am thinking of taking N4 this time 🙂

Hopefully, I am able to see great improvement by the last week of March so that I can confidently fill N4 in the form 😀
