The family reunites on GU FAMILY BOOK

The family reunites on GU FAMILY BOOK

No. I won’t let the cat out of the bag. I am on 20th episode and I won’t say anymore about what is going on right now in the story. That you have to find out yourself!

I missed this series sooo much when I didn’t have net. And I finished its 10 episodes in two days in a go. So interesting this series is! The plot is awesome and the actors are my favorite – Lee Seunggi and Bae Suzy.

GuFamilyBook

MBC’s historical drama, Gu family book, is about a half human and half beast whose dad was a Gumiho (a nine tailed fox) and mother human. The main character’s dad, Wol Ryung falls in love with a girl from a noble family, Seo Hwah while saving her from the men of her father’s murderer who wants to make the girl his. Wol Ryung marries Seo Hwah without telling her, his true identity and seeks help from his only human friend to become a full human. The priest suggests him a hundred day fast where he can’t show his true form to any other human and can’t eat flesh. Just days before the hundred days were going to finish, he has to show his true form to Seo Hwah while saving her once again from her chasers. The girl gets scared, dumps him and instead asks the general in the chasing team to kill him. The guy dies and the girl finds out that she is pregnant with her dead husband’s child. She gives birth to a sweet baby boy, who turns out to be human. She abandons the child to go back to her father’s murderer in order to take revenge. He kills her too and the baby in a basket goes to river. Irony of fate, he is found and raised by the friend of the same general and named Kang Chi. He receives much love from the family, becomes good luck charm for them and is unaware of his powers. The history repeats itself and Kang Chi’s master and his family fall victim to the same fate as Seo Hwah’s family, due to same person, twenty years later. The master and mistress die. His beloved, the master’s daughter, is sent to gisaeng house like Seo Hwah. And tragedy goes on. Kang Chi’s powers come out and he is sent to get training under the same general who murdered his father. He now has a beautiful daughter, also master in martial arts skills. Now Kang Chi has to get trained, defeat the conspirer, save the master’s daughter and his wealth, clear his master’s name and above all, control his Gumiho powers. How he manages to do all that, this is the story.

Pretty complex right? But this drama has swept whole of South Korea with ever increasing ratings and going above 20% many a times. This drama, as usually happens in K-drama, gets a little slow in the middle episodes but that’s excused. After 16th episode, the story gets more and more interesting and now,  I can’t wait for the next episode (which is due tomorrow according to my time zone >.<). Here is the link for the episodes:

And here is one of the OSTs, by Baek Ji Young:

Intimate Note: Bringing K pop idols together since 2008

Intimate Note: Bringing K pop idols together since 2008

I was watching the episode of intimate note starring Super Junior for like the twentieth time! It makes me laugh whenever I watch it.

Okay, so what is Intimate Note? It is a reality show which aims to bring people (basically idols but nevermind) together and (sometimes) finish the awkwardness between them. Now since I have been able to watch the episode with very famous idols only (Subbing problem. *Sigh* Oh Lord! Why don’t I understand Korean properly? >.<), I can tell you about them only. But trust me, they are worth spending your time. The happy ones will make you roll in the aisles and sad ones won’t leave you without making you cry. I have watched the episodes only for Super Junior, Fly to the Sky (took a lot of effort to find but I was successful, anything for my love!), SNSD and the one involving one of the former members of DBSK (there are more and I’m starting to go to them too regardless whether i know the groups or not, considering the entertainment the show provides). The staff members give the hosts and other members (if present), instructions to give the concerned pair various missions and the pair has to accomplish them.

intimatenote

절

As far as Super Junior one goes, Leeteuk with Heechul talks to the producers about awkward relationship between Kangin and Sungmin and asks them to help the group in bringing them together. Surprise follows as there is one more couple with uneasiness between them. The weird missions and their reactions turn everything into hilarious situation. What comes after is Miss Intimate contest for the four members and you will fall down your couch when you see their witty and funny performances. You will also watch Hangeng’s perfect (err…?) Korean and Kyuhyun’s humorous love for his hyungs. Gotta love it!

200905-12-183811-1

Next is SNSD. Yeah, that was alright. Not as good as SuJu but for those who love these girls, you’ll get to know their weird habits and more, as they take their anger out on each other with much love. Eight girls out of nine are able to do the show and tell you more about stories related to their day to day life on this episode.

The DBSK one was not related to all the members (I wish it was but bad luck). Xiah Junsu was invited to someone else’s episode in order to find friends for this lonely soul. It was so-so, too. But the fans like me get treat to their eyes watching him complete missions.

The episode in which Fly to the Sky duo was featured, was totally heartbreaking. It was Brian Joo’s and Hwanhee’s last vacation before they were to go solo and break the duo. The friends around them asked the producers for help. Both of them had a lot of misunderstandings and this was the reason why they decided to go on their own paths. They had grown so apart that they had o record their last album separately as they didn’t want to see each other. When they meet on the show and have to do various activities together, they get a chance to talk it out with each other. Towards the end, the tears are shed (I was one of them TT_TT) as they reminisce about their journey and resolve the differences. This episode will make you laugh and cry. And if you exactly know their story (which Brian told himself on Strong Heart), you’ll cry more.

I haven’t watched more but these four were more than enough for me (No, actually, first and last were). If you wanna watch more, try now:

New form of comics: Webtoons

New form of comics: Webtoons

Have you ever read a webtoon? Of course you must have! You haven’t? You are definitely missing a lot! A lot!

Webtoons from Korea are becoming very popular these days. They are very easily accessible and are free of cost. And since they consist of colorful pictures, they are more appealing to the audiences. The effects sometimes are awesome. They go in a long panel, not pagewise. This, in many situations, helps to have more continuity in the chapter and provides more impact and weight in delivering the right emotion.

Orange Marmalade

Some of the authors talk about how they make them through their webtoon itself. In one of them which I finished recently, The Friendly Winter, there was a chapter in which author told that he had used his own clicked photos as the base for backgrounds. That included his neighborhood buildings, shopping malls, streets etc. We can very well assume we are seeing a different kind of South Korea (real may be?) through those pictures.

The freelance translator community for webtoons is ever increasing too. There are a lot of groups and translators working on them like people on webtoonlive.com (at least they don’t need scanlations, that’s why the translation and all is economical too!)

And the plots! All of the stories I have read till now are fresh and out of this world. Be it ‘The Friendly Winter’ or ‘Nineteen Twenty one’. There is a vast variety of genres too, just like manga. Each one seems to give some message also. There are a lot of famous movies from South Korea which are adaptations of various webtoons. The examples include Apartment and Hello Schoolgirl by Kang Pul and Secretly Greatly released in 2010. Flower Boy Next Door, the K-drama starring Park Shin Hye and Yoon Shi Yoon, is also inspired from a webtoon called “I Steal Peeks At Him Every Day”. It also has elements related to webtoon making. You can easily see the characters in the drama (I have just watched the drama, not read the webtoon) using photoshop to draw the characters.

The Friendly Winter

Webtoons are replacing the expensive Manhwa and Manga making. Both the forms of comics have seen a fall in sales in the recent years. The international craze for these is not going down since a lot of material is available online free of cost. But the home business is facing losses. And this is encouraging more people to take up this new introduction in the market. I am not saying manga reading is inferior or something. It has its own charm. It is a lot of hardwork. (Watch or read Bakuman and you’ll find out!) But seeing the trend, webtoons and similar forms may take over the other two in terms of popularity and fandom, in the coming years.

In the end I will say, the webtoons are totally changing the meaning and essence of comics making and reading. You try too. You easily find them on manga sites or see here: http://www.webtoonlive.com/

Language learning – part 2 – The answer

Language learning – part 2 – The answer

In the last post you read the story. But the main question remains unanswered – how to approach the things. I, till now, have tried a lot of things – creating flash cards of my own, flash cards in my phone, writing things again and again, sticking hand-made fully decorated charts (wasted a lot of time in that) on walls of my room, downloading language learning apps, and what not. I did learn (and now, know) a lot of languages’ alphabets but then vocabulary remains weak. In that case, I can’t actually say I know the language, can I? (Yeah, in resumes, it looks good and if you write that you are learning the mentioned languages, you can answer if someone asks that yup, you do know the alphabets, at least!) Then I saw my juniors studying them in schools. Not the foreign ones but the common ones. And, I remembered how my mother used to teach me and how I used to help my sibling learn things.

Hence, the solution I found out was – Start From The Basics. In Indian system the procedure goes as follows (at least I did that).  Learn the alphabet. Start reading small small words, then larger ones. If possible arrange some newspapers in the target language and then start slowly. When you get a grip over reading, start with dictations. Obviously, you need some native speaker friend of yours or you can use your favorite dramas for that. For vocabulary, you can begin, like small children, with fruits, vegetables, colors, parts of the body, counting etc. Then you can go to the newspaper you started with and add to your vocab.

For writing part, you can start with short compositions like describing things in small sentences. Then go to bigger things like essays and all. Last remains speaking. First the pronunciation needs to be accurate. For that, native speakers are the best source. You listen to them and repeat them. In this regard, the movies and dramas can help too (but, no matter what, don’t get hooked to them!!) Even better, if you know some native speakers.

Ah! This is nostalgic. All the school memories ran through the mind. See, it isn’t that difficult. But this covers basic only. If you want more, you can read this book – How to Learn Any Language by Barry Farber. It not only tells this person’s journey of language learning but also how to learn, how to take out time when you don’t have any, but still want to explore new cultures through their mother tongue and the languages themselves. It’s a great resource for those who want to start anew as well as those who have become frustrated with variety and never reached anywhere (include me too in the category)

how to learn a language

This brings me to the idea, that I can write reviews for the resources available online which I found useful! Hmmm…. I should go and find a good name if I want to do a series of reviews like that.

Language Learning – Part 1 – The story

Language Learning – Part 1 – The story

I did say in my first story, how due to envy, I got introduced to languages. But waaaay before that, I had had some exposure to a lot of languages, not foreign though. Being in an English medium school, you have to learn English from the start. Then obviously you know your mother tongue. In India, there is vast diversity in terms of culture, people and languages. If your father is in a job where he and the family have to move a lot, you do get a lot of experience, meet new people, make new friends and learn how to adjust. In different regions, you get to learn a different language. In my case, I got to learn one in my 3rd class (which would probably be Grade 3rd of Elementary School in East Asian countries) because my father got transferred to a new region. Then, generally, in north India (I don’t know about other regions and there may be variations in this region as well! It depends!) you are given a choice between 2 languages – Sanskrit, which is considered to be mother of all languages and the one which I learnt before in my 3rd grade. So I chose Sanskrit (and did really well too! Thank you, thank you). So now four languages were added to my account – English, Hindi, Sanskrit and last one Punjabi (this one belongs to the state called Punjab).

In my 10th class (this will be !st year of high school in East Asia) I started with Japanese but I only had one small book. I never had a look on the kana charts earlier in my life. In those days, internet used to be a rare commodity, so I didn’t have it. The kana charts given in the book looked suspicious. Some syllables in the end were missing (which was because they didn’t exist but hey, I didn’t know that!). And it was only a phrases book and I wanted to start from the basic. But even so, my curiosity wasn’t gratified. Nonetheless, I copied it in hopes of learning a new language and did learn some words but 10th class, here, is a major class. I couldn’t give my new found “hobby” enough time. Next two years are the most important from career making point of view. Preparing for various entrance exams for getting admission in the best colleges takes hard work of your two years.  Can’t even think of other activities. Before college admissions, I did get time and took up French. Learnt some. But again there was no proper guidance. I never got to understand how to start things. Vastness of material available on net confuses you more.

Then college life started. And here I got to see different kinds of stuff. Travel books basically give you phrases which will be useful while roaming around in the concerned country. Phrase books include some more, related to daily life. Then there are grammar books. But they seem so high leveled sometimes that you want to give up. There are a lot of websites, books telling you how to learn a language, other kind of books, audio lessons, youtube tutorials etc. etc. And if you get into the trap of watching dramas and movies of the language you wanna learn, with the desire to grasp something in an entertaining way, then my friends, you get deviated from your goal. Trust me, I’m one of them.

In the next post, find out the answer I came up with for all my troubles.

And today’s song is:

I’m Back And Going Again

I’m Back And Going Again

Alright. It’s been so long (yeah yeah, 2 weeks without net is ages for me!) When I reach my home, my only worry is when I will get internet. I keep asking my parents but being a daughter of a government official means transfers and shifting houses. You come back from college after 3 months or more and BOOM! A new place, new house, new environment,  new neighbors, new room and of course, no internet (it takes time in India for almost everything if you don’t know how are things done here) Surfing net on handphone is cumbersome for me. Yeah, sure there are cyber cafes but who wants to go out in scorching 45 deg C.

Anyways, today I’m visiting my relatives and got a chance, so I’m writing. Don’t know when will get next opportunity, better do all the important pending work.

Most awesome thing that happened to me related to East Asia this summer is that my 6 months training (I mentioned it in my post earlier, check here) is now in Thailand and I’m so so happy. I was very worried about my passport and stuff but it seems (yeah “seems”) to be solved now (Hope I get things done and get my passport soon). But the best thing I came to know about was the Japanese cosplay and anime conventions. I can finally start my manga collection and, for the first time in my life, see real cosplayers.

Not to mention, K-pop concerts! At least SME idols do concerts there, that much I know. Don’t know about other companies and don’t know about their schedule but it doesn’t take anything to be happy in dreams. I just hope that everything goes fine and I’m able to at least reach there. Rest will be planned after landing. If you wanna suggest something for my visit, ideas are welcome.

Now it’s time to bid goodbye to internet.

Here is another one of my favorites (and now my sister’s who doesn’t listen to any other Korean song but this one)

Super Junior and 14 Members

Super Junior and 14 Members

I was not going to post anything today because I should be studying right now (Probably, I will keep restating the fact that my exams are going on until they are over) but I was reading some article on allkpop. I have a habit of reading the comments to know what (and how) people think. Someone was asking about joining ELFs (SuJu’s official fanclub. If you are a fan, you already would know but even so) Suddenly, I came across a comment stating that people are leaving ELF because of the talks of adding two members of Super Junior-M, Henry and Zhoumi,  to Super Junior itself. I knew, people are not happy about it. And, yes I know ELFs in Korea protested against this when the proposal was put forward.

I seriously fail to understand why people are so against it. Both of them are hardworking and I think, they are receiving their training in South Korea itself (I remember hearing that in one of their interviews). Yeah, people got hurt because of what Hangeng did. But he must have had his reasons too. He had problems with SM Entertainment not SuJu. Media says whatever it wants (And I think that’s the case everywhere. They just need a story and they’ll put all spices to give it totally different direction).  And it’s not like such kind of thing happened for the first time. I’m not pointing anybody’s faults out but what the true story behind all this ‘Hangeng leaving the company like that’ is, that him, SM Entertainment and God only know. It’s not necessary these two will do the same thing.

Coming to my main point, Super Junior-M is very famous (may be not as much as SuJu). I love their songs too and I know many of the people who are going mad about the whole report, too. Only problem is accepting them in the main group. It’s not easy to leave one’s own country, own home and work at some place where you don’t even have a promised future (That’s what I feel about entertainers, not talking about SuJu in particular, it all depends on audience’s minds. And trust me, being a girl who has been living away from home in the same country itself for 3 years now, even if  it’s for college, I know the feeling. For them, it’s ANOTHER COUNTRY!). They are human beings too. They feel hurt too. I mean if I were them, I would feel bad. SuJu was criticized after Kyuhyun joined the team too but the results were awesome. Now Kyuhyun is one of the lead vocals (and he is no. 1 for me in SuJu, what they call bias?). I mean come on, Super Junior was a project team from the start. Members were to be rotated after all. (Yeah, I would have been against this idea. They did good job making the group and members permanent.) But if there is addition to fill the empty spots, why not embrace the idea? And now every year, one or the other member is enlisting for army, the group feels incomplete!

PS – These are merely my thoughts. No offense to anyone. And if I hurt someone’s feelings I’m sorry. But I sincerely think I am free to express myself  and it’s not bad to give them a chance.

Latest song from Super Junior – M – Break Down (Korean version):

Frustrated! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Frustrated! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Yesterday, when my videos stopped working, I thought it was a move by my college due to sem end exams. Turns out, it is my laptop giving me problems. Flash player suddenly stops working! Wah! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

Its like being alive without my soul (#×_×). I can’t watch any drama or music videos. Me, the one who  finds excuses such as “I’ll watch just (just) one episode after finishing this chapter (though it never stops at only one episode hehehe)” or “I have done a lot of work, now time to watch (where a lot of work refers to reading one page absent-mindedly)”,  just to watch one more episode of my favorite variety shows like Kiss the Radio, Intimate note, Strong heart etc. etc. (list is very very verrrry long!) or currently going on dramas like Gu Family Book (awesome show with Lee Seung Gi in there (≧∇≦)/), can’t watch anything.  (T_T) No shows for today and God knows for how many days! (TT_TT)

I have tried everything to fix it (and everything means everything but that’s another story). I have another exam tomorrow but I haven’t started preparation yet. Why? Because I was trying to find a solution to the problem. This is too much! I give up! (;´Д`)

So, I have been watching the MVs I have with me, downloaded, again and again. And this song makes me a little relieved of my frustration (Coz I can’t watch the video, I hope this is the right one.) That guitar and the guitarist and the slow motions……. (〜^∇^)〜

Oh! Another one. They are soooooo cute! (≧∇≦)

J-Drama Recommendation: Bunshin ( 分身)

J-Drama Recommendation: Bunshin ( 分身)

So I was reading my posts and I realized that till now all I wrote was about things related to South Korea (well yes it’s my newly discovered love but even so), so I decided to write about this short drama which was I think my first J-drama. I have my exam in less than 4 hours but I am writing my blog. What the hell am I doing? (-_-メ)
Why do you get all new and interesting ideas during exams? After exams, you don’t know what to do. ┐(´ー`)┌

Anyways, Bunshin as such means Doppleganger. I’m sure you must have heard the term a lot of times if you are a Naruto fan. His favorite jutsu is (or used to be?) Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.

This is one of the stories which show the potential of human mind going beyond impossible. I mean, who can think about identical twins being born one year apart! And it’s not like it can’t happen. Doesn’t seem unrealistic in the story. (I’m not sure if it actually can happen. You can’t be sure of such things, can you? Technology evolves way too fast. )

Bunshin

This is a sci-fi serious drama based on novel of same name by Higashino Keigo. The protagonist is Mariko, a woman who is tangled in her past of people stating that she doesn’t look like her parents again and again and her mother kind of hating her. On the other hand, Futaba is a college student who wants to pursue a career in music and performs in a band. Things turn upside down in Mariko’s life when she sees Futaba on TV because they look totally alike. Through fateful chances, they get to know more about each other and are shocked to know that they are similar, not only their faces but interests also, despite having no connections. But they lose hope of being connected as Futaba is one year older in age.  But their identical nature and not having a clue of their about their birth compel them to go further and they discover what is unimaginable. There is a lot more to their story than it seems. Involvement of forbidden medical techniques and dirty politics doesn’t deter them from their path of finding the truth about their identity. What is the reality? Find out here : http://www.dramacrazy.net/japanese-drama/bunshin/

Now about the drama, acting is okay. Masami Nagasawa has done quite a good job playing triple role here (Mariko, Futaba and their mother). Drama as a whole is a little slow. They could actually have made a movie rather than drama. But since it contains only 5 episodes, it is worth it. Story, as you can see, I’m quite impressed. Things are unpredictable till episode 3 and I think, for 5 episodes, it’s a success.

Hmmm. Now I’m thinking what song I should include today. Should it be Japanese? Oh this song is good. (Actually, suddenly, the videos have stopped working here. Probably due to exams, they put restrictions. Yes, they do that. \(--)/
I have heard the Korean version. Not sure about Japanese version though. But I’ll post both versions and listen to Japanese version myself later.

K-Variety Recommendation: Stalker (스토커)

K-Variety Recommendation: Stalker (스토커)

No, no. I wasn’t being stalked or anything. I am talking about SS501’s mini-series “Stalker” which aired on Mnet from 19th January 2006 to 16th February 2006. This 5 episodes series shows how popular idols and groups are stalked by some people and how, sometimes, it becomes so dangerous that people get hurt, not only mentally but physically too.

Stalker

The series starts off with a girl being carried on back of a person with members running along and you instantaneously know that this is some serious shit. Then they start introducing events which make them reach the conclusion that they are being followed each and every minute. Their house is messed up, their clothes go missing just before their stage performance, they receive threatening mails and calls, their staff member is attacked etc. etc. They try to solve the mystery of this person. They take help of cyber police, install CCTV cameras in their dorm and watch old tapes of their filming to track down any suspicious element.  And they do catch some people in the process but whether they are the actual stalker or not, that you can find out after watching the series.

mnetss501stalker

It’s actually scary stuff. The series is based on events which have actually happened in their lives and some other idols too but it’s not like real real. And it has been shot around the time when they were actually being tormented by someone like that. The series is to prevent such happenings in their real lives and tell people that it’s burdensome to them. Obviously, it is a kind of torture to a normal person too. If such things happen to someone, they can’t focus on anything. And human intuition is such that you get to know one way or other if you are being watched. Either you get chills or feeling of being constantly watched or some other form (I have experienced first two only but if you have other responses, I would love to know).

Thus, this series actually has a deeper meaning. It lets your imagination run wild and come up with various reasons why someone would do such thing. Is it just a crazy fan or someone who holds a grudge against them or some attention seeker or just some other maniac whom they have unfortunately fallen victim to? And you are compelled to think about human psychology and how their minds work. How can someone be like that?

What do you think?

Here is the link where you can watch the series with English subs : http://ithetimes.wordpress.com/mnet-ss501-stalker-eng-sub/

Enjoy!

Yes, talking helps!

Yes, talking helps!

Ok. I did say I would write a review but as soon as I start preparing, I watch something else and then I move on to the new thing and the cycle continues. So I have not been able to do any. Moreover, I find writing my everyday experiences easier and more interesting. My semester exams are also near so I haven’t been able to focus on anything (including THE EXAMS! God!! I am screwed!!!)

So I had been preparing an animation movie to send to companies for internship for past one month or so. I missed a lot of tests and assignments for that but I don’t regret it because I was happy doing the work. In my college, BITS Pilani, it is compulsory to do training for one semester and mine comes next sem. The companies are arranged by the institute only, but through some procedures you can change that. I had my mind set on doing my training in an animation company, so I prepared a video. But it didn’t turn out how I wanted it to be. Of course, it was my first attempt and some of my friends have praised it a lot but I myself am not satisfied with it. How will other people be?

Recently, I got to talk, heart to heart, with a long lost friend of mine. She was having similar problems as me like losing interest in her own discipline, wanting to explore other areas etc. etc. Well, I am one those few, who chose their own discipline. In India, it’s difficult to get your own choice of trade when you get a rank which lies in middle – not too high but not too low either. I left a lot of good colleges just to get chemical engineering at this prestigious institute. Now I have come to realize that this is not my cup of tea. We talked for one hour or so. And she advised me a lot of things like how I can improve in the given time for my training, by joining some courses while sticking to my discipline. I can think through my options too. And I was like “what was I doing?” I directly wanted to jump to a different field without any background. Just wanted to do it. She totally changed the direction in which I was thinking. Then again, she told me to talk to some seniors. As I am an introvert, I don’t have many contacts. But her advice was enough for me to take some big decisions of my life. This post, I dedicate to that friend. Thank you very much for helping me clear my mind (a 90 degrees bow to you).

Yes, I have a habit of solving problems myself. I don’t tell people my concerns and like to keep things to myself. But sometimes, when you don’t know what to do, where to head, telling your worries to a friend or even a stranger works wonders. Yes, talking helps!

PS: Another song, this time its from SS501. I have been randomly listening to various South Korean groups and stumbled upon this song just yesterday :

My love saved my life….

My love saved my life….

Yeah, yeah. The title seems like I was going to commit suicide. My depression was not that bad but those times were not very good either. My grades were dropping despite me studying (I think I was studying but God only knows!). I was feeling out of the group because I didn’t join any club or department (being an introvert) and my hobbies were different from the friends I had made, so I couldn’t talk to them too. There were no common topics for us. All in all, I was very lonely (Don’t take it in wrong way!) I used to sometimes think if I was not fit for this place or how much better it would have been if I was born in some anime world.

Then one day, I stumbled upon K-Dramas. Now, if you are talking about K-Dramas, I have watched only two kinds – RomCom and Historical. My first drama was Dae Jang Geum (The Jewel in the Palace), a historical drama, which is about a girl, who becomes head kitchen maid even after being conspired against, by a lot of rivals again and again. After watching it, I was like how can people work hard like that? Just to make some dishes, she would keep awake for whole night. (I can’t have a night out even if I haven’t studied for an exam the next day at all, even today!) After watching some more dramas which were mainly romantic comedies, I realized, modern people are like that too. If you think they are just dramas and they don’t contain reality, then there are real instances too. Like, if you talk about their entertainment industry, the people are very hardworking. They sometimes keep going on without sleeping for days. For example, Super Junior’s 6th album’s title song – Sexy, Free and Single was shot in 3 days where the members didn’t get any sleep and had to keep dancing for long hours. Same thing happened for Girls’ Generation (SNSD)’s song – Gee.  Well, yeah that’s something you can’t verify but why would they lie about something like this. You can actually see such things from their makings. Other than music videos, their schedules are very tight – Concerts, Hosting, Acting, Variety Shows and what not. And when you hear such things and actually watch their very well made music videos (even the reality shows videos have a lot of video edits – small small cartoons and gags in writing etc.), you start wondering about hundreds of people behind and besides the entertainers – directors, technical staff, stylists and more who have to put lots of efforts too. Because I can’t do such things, I obviously get impressed. How can such things and people not inspire you?

Another thing which I watch are variety shows and reality shows.  The people are too funny. They don’t hesitate to make fun of themselves just to make the audience laugh and it’s the scene in almost all such shows out there in South Korea (Oh man! I have watched too many.)

Now coming to my main point, yes, when I was feeling very low in life, I came across such treasure by chance and I am very thankful for that. Even now when I am feeling even a little bit dispirited, all I need is some variety show episode with my favorite girl/boy groups or their songs. They make my day! (Yes, my day starts and ends with them only) I know you must be pondering how crazy I am. But I am sure; you also must have some songs like that in your life (not necessarily Korean).

With that I’ll post aforementioned songs today:

PS : From my next post I’ll start with the reviews. Enough with the stories!
